CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — After more than 20 years of discussion and strategy, the Alton Park community is getting closer to being connected to the rest of Chattanooga.
The Trust for Public Land (TPL) and the City of Chattanooga finally broke ground on phase one of the Alton Park Connector project on Saturday, holding a ceremony at Station 33 in St. Elmo.
Chattanooga Mayor Tim Kelly and Congressman Chuck Fleischmann were at the event.
