Pensacola State College clarifies ‘misinformation’ amid WSRE-TV Foundation lawsuit

PENSACOLA, Fla. — Pensacola State College has issued a response after WSRE-TV Foundation filed a lawsuit against the institution to protect its donor dollars.

The college says it would like to clear up any “misinformation” surrounding the matter. An official legal statement from the college is still being drafted.

“Pensacola State College owns the broadcasting license for WSRE Public Broadcasting,” according to PSC in a release. “The College has long paid an annual fee to affiliate with PBS, a relationship that has existed for many years and has understandably led to public confusion about whether WSRE and PBS are the same entity.
