A recent inspection by San Bernardino County Code Enforcement, the Sheriff’s Department, and the Office of the Fire Marshal found fire and safety violations at a pallet yard in unincorporated Fontana. Inspectors found eight unpermitted living enclosures inside the yard. These structures contained flammable materials and were not stable. One person was arrested, and all occupied units were vacated safely.
The Office of the Fire Marshal issued a notice for fire code violations. Code Enforcement also cited the property for several code violations. County officials stated that coordinated enforcement helps protect residents and first responders.
