Fatal Stabbing in Chula Vista Leads to Murder Arrest

CHULA VISTA, CA — Chula Vista Police Department (CVPD) officers were dispatched to the AMPM convenience store located at 800 Palomar St on Tuesday, December 9th, at approximately 9:54 PM, following a report of a stabbing victim. Upon arrival, responding officers located an adult male who had sustained multiple stab wounds.

Officers administered immediate medical assistance and life-saving measures at the scene before the victim was transported to UCSD Medical Center for further treatment. The victim, identified as a 24-year-old male, was subsequently pronounced deceased at the hospital despite resuscitation efforts. The identity of the deceased is being withheld pending the notification of family members.

The preliminary investigation conducted by the CVPD determined that the stabbing incident itself occurred in the 1100 block of Trenton Ave. Subsequent police actions led officers to the Trenton Avenue location, where they located a subject believed to have been involved in the confrontation.
