A house fire in Rockford causes 15K in damages

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) – A fire in Rockford leaves a house with an estimated $15,000 of damages, according to the Rockford Fire Department.

Just before 11 a.m. Saturday Dec. 13, firefighters responded to a call about a house fire in the 2000 block of South 5th Street.

When they arrived, firefighters found fire venting from a first-floor window of the two story home. The fire was contained to a single room.
