ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — The Rockford Fire Department responded to a home fire Saturday afternoon in the block of St. Annes Way.
Department officials said they were called to the 4400 block of St. Annes Way. Upon arrival, initial crews found smoke coming from the roof and active fire conditions in the attic. The residence was empty as occupants evacuated safely. No injuries were reported. Although, three adult occupants were displaced as a result of the fire and are being assisted by the American Red Cross.
The fire was caused by an overheated bathroom ventilation fan which resulted in an estimated $55,000 in damage…
