Central High Kilties to lead 2025 Springfield Christmas Parade

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — The Central High School Kiltie Drum and Bugle Corps will serve as Grand Marshals of this year’s Springfield Christmas Parade, marking the group’s 100th anniversary.

The Kilties, a mainstay of the parade for decades, will lead the event at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 13, in downtown Springfield. Current members and alumni are expected to march.

To watch the parade live from home commercial-free there are two ways. The first is to download the brand-new Ozarks First+ app on your Roku devices or Apple TV. You can also tune into KOZL 27 over-the-air.

Springfield Public Schools shared insight this week from those who have helped shape the identity of the Kilties over the years.

“Being asked to be the grand marshals of the parade was both surprising and deeply honoring,” said Sunday Wildschuetz, Kilties sponsor and a former Kiltie. “It fills us with pride to know that our community values and celebrates the legacy of Kilties and enjoys the spark of joy we bring to the holiday season.”…
