SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — Goodwill has hosted a yearly shoe party for decades. Kids come get a free pair of shoes, socks and some winter gear.
Around 700 pairs of shoes in all colors and sizes were lined up this morning at Goodwill in Sioux Falls. Families with kids ranging from kindergarten to 8th grade stopped by.
“They come in, volunteers are paired with them one on one, and they leave with a spirit of care and magic in this holiday season from our own community right here in Sioux Falls,” said Charlotte Nelson, chief growth officer for Goodwill of the Great Plains.
