A 43-year-old Perth Amboy woman was killed after a van slammed head-on into a dump truck and burst into flames in Jackson on Friday, Dec. 12, police said.
The victim was identified as Evelin Villanueva-Detejeda, 43, according to the Jackson Township Police Department.
The crash happened at approximately 2:01 p.m. on Toms River Road (Route 571) near Osprey Place, when a van traveling southbound crossed the double yellow line into the northbound lane, police said. The dump truck attempted to brake but was unable to avoid the collision, police said…
