Man found dead in Sugar House, death determined to be suspicious

SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4) — A man was found dead in Salt Lake City’s Sugar House neighborhood early Sunday morning, according to Salt Lake City Police.

At around 5 a.m. on Dec. 14, SLCPD officers responded to a report of a “man down” call that was thought to be a possible overdose in Sugar House. The man was found on the sidewalk in a parking strip area of 2100 South, according to Sgt. Greg Wilking, SLCPD.

According to police, the death has not been determined to be an overdose at this time, and police are investigating shots fired to the south of this area reported earlier in the night. There was reportedly also a verbal altercation that took place, though details are unclear…
