CLEVELAND — Akron police are asking drivers to avoid Interstate 76 westbound at the Central Interchange as they respond to a traffic crash involving a semi-truck.
Police did not share specific details about the nature of the accident, but said the westbound lanes on I-76 at the split of I-76W and I-77 southbound “are expected to remain closed for an extended period of time.”
“Officers are on scene managing traffic and working to keep everyone safe,” the Akron Police Department said in a social media post. “Motorists are encouraged to avoid the area and use alternate routes.”…
