South Carolina bars donating 100% of Sycamore Brewing proceeds to local nonprofit supporting abuse victims

ROCK HILL, S.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — A brewery in Rock Hill is donating 100% of its Sycamore proceeds to a local nonprofit that supports victims and survivors of domestic violence, child abuse, and sexual assault.

“Drink it or dump it, it’s up to you,” Hoppin’ Rock Hill posted on Facebook in their announcement about the donation. “Either way, you’re supporting the right side of this.”

The brewery says this is in “direct response” to the allegations against Justin Brigham, the now-former co-owner of Sycamore Brewing, who is facing several charges, including statutory rape of a 13-year-old girl.

100% of the proceeds Hoppin’ RH makes from Sycamore Brewing sales will go to SafePassage, a nonprofit based in Rock Hill.
