The future of Fort Lauderdale’s Holiday Park Parking Garage is on the docket for a City Commission Conference Meeting scheduled for December 16. The meeting will serve to assess various unsolicited proposals received through the public-private partnership (P3) process, aimed at revamping the garage as part of the city’s continuous infrastructure development. During this meeting, commission members will get to examine in-depth materials, including financial analyses and presentations from proposers looking to leave their mark on the project.
According to a recent press release by the City of Fort Lauderdale, the initiative is part of the City’s ongoing efforts to efficiently utilize public-private partnerships to enhance city infrastructure. City staff are expected to comprehensively walk the Commission through the history and significant considerations of the project, while PFM Financial Advisors will lay out their independent financial evaluation findings. The Commission will have to quickly decide on how to rank the proposals submitted, as the voting process is set for the same evening’s regular City Commission meeting.
