Three suspected of stealing wallet, then using credit cards nabbed

Two women and one man from Los Angeles were arrested Dec. 10 on offenses of burglary, identity theft and conspiracy after they allegedly coordinated to steal from a woman in Thousand Oaks and used her credit cards at retail stores, according to authorities.

On Oct. 31 around 11 a.m., deputies responded to a call from a Thousand Oaks grocery store on the 700 block of North Moorpark Road on a wallet being stolen, according to a Ventura County Sheriff’s Office press release.

Deputies found that one suspect distracted a victim while a second suspect “stole the victim’s wallet from her purse that was sitting in the shopping cart the victim was using,” the release said. The suspects then allegedly proceeded to a shopping mall and used the victim’s credit cards at two different locations, the release said…
