Sacramento police seek tips to find stolen portion of Del Paso Boulevard statue

The Sacramento Police Department on Sunday asked the public to help investigators find a portion of a bronze statue stolen earlier this month from a center median on Del Paso Boulevard.

The statue of a woman and little girl is titled “Happiness” and was sculpted by Sacramento artist Numan Begovic, according to the Public Art Archive.

The sculpture in Old North Sacramento is one of Begovic’s several public art installations in the Sacramento area, including the “Remembering Rancho Del Paso” statue of a horse also installed on a center median on Del Paso Boulevard…
