While the Central Valley and Delta areas will experience these lingering low clouds and temperatures that are quite a bit cooler than typical for this time of year – think highs in the 40s when we’d usually be warmer – the higher terrain will be feeling the opposite effect.
We’re tracking near-record high temperatures for this season, with spots in the mountains and foothills seeing pleasant highs in the 50s and even into the low 70s, about 20 degrees above average for many locations. If you’re driving through any dense fog, especially early in the morning, please take it slow and use your low-beam headlights. We will be monitoring these conditions closely.
Looking ahead, the pattern is starting to shift, and we’re seeing increasing confidence in a significant change arriving next week.
