WEST LIBERTY, Iowa (KWQC) – Approximately 20 to 25 people were taken to the hospital in I-80 crashes that shut the roadway down for hours, officials said.
Several sections of I-80 are blocked Sunday night due to a towing operation, according to Iowa 511, including:
- The left lane of I-80 West between Iowa 38 and Iowa 38, 12 miles east of the West Branch area
- The left lane of I-80 East between Exit 259: County Road X40 and Exit 265: County Road X46, six miles east of the West Branch area
West Liberty Fire and emergency crews went to Mile Marker 262 on I-80 West for a multi-vehicle crash around 9:45 a.m. on Saturday, according to a media release.
