SAN MARCOS, Texas – Saturday marks five years since Texas State University student Jason Landry left campus in San Marcos and vanished on his way home for the holiday.
Jason left Texas State, just like thousands of college students are currently doing, to go home to their families. He started the familiar drive toward his parents’ home in Missouri City, a suburb of Houston, along familiar roads. But somewhere along the way, something went terribly wrong, and Jason never made it home.
