Rockford Man Sentenced to 14 Years for Methamphetamine Distribution

A Rockford man was handed a 14-year prison term today for his role in a methamphetamine distribution operation. Jesse Herbig, 44, had previously pleaded guilty to a charge of possession with intent to distribute fifty grams or more of the drug.

During his plea, Herbig admitted to have intentionally arranged to receive a parcel he knew was holding a significant quantity of methamphetamine. The package, dispatched from Phoenix, Arizona to an address in Rockford, contained a notably pure form of the drug, totaling approximately 891.6 grams, according to a statement obtained by the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Illinois…
