Another frigid night ahead with warmth returning by the middle of the week

  • Another frigid night ahead
  • Warmer times this week
  • Rain chance overnight Wednesday

(WIFR) – The start to our Sunday has been frigid with wind chills as low as 28 degrees below zero. Tonight it will be cold once again but not as cold. Winds will be stronger than what we saw this morning. Gusts will be as high as 25 to 30 mph out of the southwest. This will drop our wind chills down to 10 to 15 degrees below zero early on tonight. However, with winds out of the southwest, warmer air will start to filter in across the region. Temperatures will gradually increase once we get toward the morning hours so wind chills by the time we are heading out the door will likely be in the single digit negatives.
