Volunteers honor fallen heroes at Fairview Cemetery

(FOUNTAIN, Colo.) — Dozens of volunteers met at Fairview Cemetery in Fountain on Saturday, Dec. 13, to honor fallen service members by placing a wreath on headstones, joining hundreds of cities taking part in National Wreaths Across America Day.

Local VFW and American Legion posts helped raise support to cover the cost of the wreaths, and scouts from several local troops joined volunteers on Saturday to lay them at all 348 veteran headstones. Each branch of service was recognized.
