1 dead, 3 injured in separate northwest Denver crashes

DENVER (KDVR) — It was a busy night for Denver police officers after two serious crashes early Sunday morning.

Around 3:15 a.m. on Sunday, the Denver Police Department posted about two separate crashes in the northwest part of the city.

The first single-vehicle crash happened near West 42nd Street and Federal Boulevard. One person died on the scene, and another was taken to the hospital with injuries. FOX31 crews on scene saw the mangled car on the sidewalk, rolled over with the engine and debris in the road. Northbound Federal Boulevard was closed for much of Sunday morning but reopened around 9 a.m.

The second single-vehicle crash happened near West 48th Avenue and Wadsworth Boulevard. Two people were taken to the hospital with serious injuries. The area was reopened by 5:30 a.m…
