SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) – While cold temperatures help keep the ice in great skating condition, the Jacobson Plaza is closing the skate ribbon due to the severe weather.
Sioux Falls Parks and Recreation posted that the skate ribbon will be closed on Saturday at 7 p.m., and will remain closed until Monday due to the snow, hazardous road conditions, and freezing temperatures.

Sioux Falls Parks and Recreation says the decision was made for the safety of customers and staff, and urge people to avoid unnecessary travel.
