Auburn residents evacuated near Green River, city braces for more rain and flooding

AUBURN, Wash. — Mike Leaf paddled through some of the worst flooding he’s ever battled in his front yard in a canoe Sunday morning, after a week of heavy rainfall and back-to-back atmospheric rivers.

He’s lived along the Green River in Auburn for 25 years and said he’s never dealt with such high floodwater. Leaf told KOMO News that water reached 14 inches in his garage and another 17 inches in their shop.
