Birmingham police are investigating the death of Harold McArthor King, a 55-year-old man who sustained fatal gunshot wounds during a reported assault on Dec. 13 at 3:26 a.m. on the 5400 block of Jefferson Ave. SW.
King was pronounced dead at the scene 30 minutes later.
