BURLINGTON, N.C. — A structure fire caused tens of thousands of dollars worth of damage in Burlington on Sunday afternoon, according to the Burlington Fire Department (BFD).
According to firefighters, a hot ember escaped from a burn pit from the previous day and ignited in the yard. The fire then spread to the structure.
