A Montgomery County jury has found Gregory Jones, 32, of Martinsburg, WV, guilty of two counts of first-degree murder, conspiracy to commit first-degree murder, and multiple firearm charges in the 2018 shooting deaths of Ashley Dickinson and Joshua Frazier in Burtonsville.
Jones, who previously had his 2021 conviction overturned on appeal, now faces two potential life-without-parole sentences plus 40 years, with sentencing set for February 10, 2026.
According to the Montgomery County State’s Attorney’s Office, “This case was initially tried in December of 2021. Jones was convicted and sentenced to two terms of life in prison without parole, but that conviction was overturned on appeal. “This was a vicious, execution-style double murder. Our hearts are with the families of Ashley Dickinson and Joshua Frazier who have had to endure not one, but two trials.
