German man to be deported from US by Border Patrol after child solicitation conviction

MONROE, Mich. — United States Border Patrol agents arrested a person from Germany in Monroe, Michigan, who was convicted of criminal sexual conduct of a child.

Silvio Berge, 60, was in the U.S. on a visa and was charged with solicitating a child for sex in March when the teenager he thought he was messaging with turned out to be an undercover officer.

Berge was convicted of accosting, enticing or soliciting child for immoral purpose and served nearly nine months in the Monroe County Jail…
