ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – An Albuquerque man pleaded guilty to multiple charges Monday, including murder and kidnapping. Preston Ball tortured and killed a man in December 2024.

Police say they received a disturbing video, showing a car engulfed in flames. Inside the trunk, they discovered a body. Police traced the suspects to a home where they found a shed with blood splattered inside. Through interviews, detectives learned that Ball suspected the victim had stolen from him and his friends. Authorities say Ball admitted to torturing the victim for hours before killing him and disposing the body in the burning car, with the assistance of three accomplices.
Judge Britt Baca accepted the guilty plea on all four counts against Ball. A sentencing hearing has been set for January…
