[1] Frost Road Trail Project gets green light to extend 2 miles east – The Frost Road Trail Project will connect an existing paved trail nearly two miles east for pedestrians and bicyclists. The 1.8-mile stretch is filled with dirt, ditches, and rolling grasses, all along the 50 mph Frost Road. The trail will be eight feet wide with three bridges to go over arroyos and obstructions. The project will cost $1.6 million, funded through Bernalillo County Trail Bonds.

[2] NM Higher Education Department asks lawmakers to fill federal funding gaps – The state’s higher education department says enrollment is up, graduates are more successful, and New Mexico is climbing the national rankings. As state officials look towards the future, they’re asking lawmakers to help bridge the gap made by federal funding cuts. Now, they’re asking lawmakers to increase their budget to $1.5 billion.
