RCSO announces death of investigator Patrick Kinsey

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WJBF) – The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office has announced the death of one of its investigators, Patrick Kinsey, who was actively employed with the agency.

In a statement released Monday, Dec. 15, Chief Lewis Blanchard confirmed his death. It reads in part:

“Sheriff Eugene Brantley and the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office Command Staff extend their deepest condolences to Deputy Kinsey’s family, friends, and coworkers. His loss reaches far beyond the walls of our agency. He was not only a respected law enforcement professional, but also a trusted colleague and friend to many. Deputy Kinsey’s dedication to duty and his willingness to stand alongside his fellow deputies reflected the highest values of law enforcement. The bond shared among those who serve together is one built on trust, sacrifice, and mutual respect, and that bond endures even in times of grief.”
