Birmingham Jewish community reflects following deadly attack in Australia

MOUNTAIN BROOK, Ala. (WIAT) — Members of central Alabama’s Jewish community are reflecting and mourning following a deadly attack overseas this weekend.

While many gathered in Mountain Brook to light a menorah for the second night of Hannukah Monday, they also remembered the 15 people killed in Bondi Beach, Australia. Birmingham Jewish leaders said moments like these are about coming together and focusing on the light that remains, even in the face of tragedy.
