BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A 62-year-old man is dead after a fire broke out in an apartment in Cheektowaga Sunday night, Cheektowaga police announced.
Around 11:00 p.m., police were called to 17 Williamstowne Court for reports of smoke filling an apartment hallway. The building was evacuated. The fire was contained to one apartment and quickly extinguished.
