FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – Downtown Fresno will soon have an 8-story parking structure.
The city announced Monday that it broke ground on the parking structure, which will be situated close to the Hotel Fresno location. The city said the structure is a “transformative project.”

Mayor Jerry Dyer said the city sought $250 million from the state. The city was also awarded $43.7 million infrastructure grant.
“It’s not often I say a parking structure is beautiful, but I want to promise all of you this parking structure will be absolutely beautiful,” said Dyer. “And we will see you back here in just 12 short months so we can cut the ribbon on this parking structure.”
