Two drivers died in a wrong-way head-on collision on southbound I-385 near Highway 221 in Laurens County, South Carolina, around 10:15 p.m. on Thursday, December 11, 2025. A 2024 Subaru traveling south collided with a 2005 Nissan driving north in the southbound lanes.
Victim Identities
The Laurens County Coroner’s Office identified the Subaru driver as 20-year-old Adriana Torres Lopez (also reported as Audriana or Adriana Lopez), a University of South Carolina junior from Simpsonville studying psychology and art. The Nissan driver was 66-year-old Michael Cutshaw (or Kutshaw) from Marion, North Carolina, who had been reported missing earlier that day and reportedly had dementia.
