BURLINGTON, N.C. — A Burlington man is facing multiple felony charges after investigators say he stole vehicles and equipment from the Burlington Shrine Club and attempted to sell some of the items online.
According to the Alamance County Sheriff’s Office, detectives were called Friday, Dec. 5, to investigate a breaking and entering at the Burlington Shrine Club on Plantation Drive. The stolen vehicles were part of the Shriners Fire Brigade, which is commonly seen in local parades.
Investigators determined that three custom-made go-karts, a Kawasaki minibike and three Predator 212cc engines were taken. Detectives later learned the go-karts had been listed for sale on Facebook Marketplace and located the post during the investigation, authorities said…
