OCONEE COUNTY, S.C. (FOX Carolina) – A scam targeting senior citizens and veterans is circulating in the Upstate, charging thousands of dollars for Medicare services they never received.
Oconee County resident and veteran Wayne McCall was driving home from the VA Hospital in Asheville a few weeks ago when a friend told him he’d received a strange Medicare bill for supplies he never ordered.
“I kind of laughed at him… and son of a gun, three days later, I got one of them letters!” McCall said…
