YUKON, OKLA. — A car crashed into the La Petite Day Care Center in Yukon on Friday, sparking a fire, but thanks to the quick actions of the daycare staff, all 33 children and five adults inside were evacuated safely.
Scott Douglas of the Oklahoma City Fire Department praised the staff’s training and preparedness, saying, “What a chaotic scene to have a car crash into your building, catch it on fire, and you’re in a facility with 33 children inside.”
