LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – A study that measured the impact of poverty ranked Little Rock as the fifth neediest city in America.
The study by the consumer finance site WalletHub used 28 key economic indicators across 180 cities to determine rankings. Indicators included child poverty, food insecurity, and uninsured rates to produce rankings in two categories: Economic well-being and health & safety.
Little Rock ranked 5th, with 17th in economic well-being and sixth in health & safety, for a total score of 53.87. The score placed the Capitol City between fourth-ranked Cleveland, Ohio, and sixth-ranked Gulfport, Mississippi…
