LONOKE COUNTY, Ark. – Two multi-billion-dollar tech platforms are named as defendants in a lawsuit filed on Dec. 11 over the sexual exploitation of a Lonoke County 14-year-old.
The lawsuit was filed in the Northern District of California on behalf of the child, identified as John Doe in the pleading. According to the filing, Doe began using the online gaming platform Roblox in 2022 and was groomed by a predator until he sent sexually explicit images on Snapchat. Both companies are the defendants in the suit and are headquartered in California.

The suit continues that Doe’s mother thought safeguards were in place to prevent such an occurrence. According to the suit, Doe suffered life-altering psychological and emotional injuries due to his experience with the predator.
