Lafayette council to decide fate of Roman-styled entertainment complex, controversial gas station

The Lafayette City Council is set to decide whether to approve a venue styled to look like the Roman Colosseum along Verot School Road and a gas station near Lafayette High School, both of which have brought the ire of nearby residents.

The council will decide on the two projects Tuesday night. The buildings sit on shaky ground after neighbors of both properties spoke out against them at previous city zoning and council meetings.
