NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) – Plaquemines Parish Government has filed suit over what it calls “excessive and improper tolls and fees charged for use of the Belle Chasse Toll Bridge since May 2025.”
Plaquemines Parish is suing the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development, Plenary Infrastructure Belle Chasse, Plenary Louisiana Tolling and Kapsch TrafficCom USA.
The suit alleges the defendants have “assessed excessive tolls and fees” against numerous businesses and individuals. It also says the toll bridge will affect Plaquemines Parish Government’s tax revenues “due to adverse impacts on local businesses that have and will suppress their customer base and income.”…
