PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A Wilsonville man has been formally charged after he allegedly attacked law enforcement officers with an axe earlier this month.
A Clackamas County grand jury indicted 19-year-old Kabril Matthew Evans on Dec. 12 on two counts of first-degree attempted assault, two counts of unlawful use of a weapon, and two counts of menacing.
Drunk driver fatally struck Keizer motorcyclist, officials say
As KOIN 6 News previously reported, police were responding to a domestic violence call on Dec. 5 when Evans suddenly emerged from his vehicle. He was holding an axe over his head and began running toward the officers.
Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office deputies Madison Stefanovich and Nathan Banfi then shot at Evans, striking him three times. The incident was captured on body-worn and dashboard cameras, though the footage has not yet been released…
