The streets of Bellevue were jarred by gunfire on Friday, as Bellevue Police attended to a call at the Bellevue Transit Center which resulted in an officer-involved shooting. The Bellevue Police Department, through a social media post, confirmed that the incident took place at approximately 12:24 p.m. at 10850 NE 6th Street.
In the swiftly unfolding events the Bellevue officer and the involved suspect were both wounded, they were promptly transported to a local hospital for treatment, this is following the shootout.
