HONOLULU (Island News) – Fathers at the Waiawa Correctional Facility (WCF) had a festive day with their children as the facility hosted a Winter Wonderland Keiki Day on Sunday, December 14, 2025.
Although it was a rainy morning, that didn’t stop the children from spending quality time with their fathers while they participated in fun activities and enjoyed ono food.
The event included 18 inmates, 18 caregivers, 33 children including eight grandchildren, and five family members. For three hours, fathers and their children enjoyed arts and crafts, making gingerbread man puppets out of paper bags, decorating cookies and making Christmas cards together…
