Council kicks in money to redevelop demolished local fast food restaurant site

CINCINNATI (Cincinnati Business Courier) – Cincinnati City Council approved $400,000 for Northside’s community urban redevelopment corporation to acquire and eventually redevelop the former White Castle restaurant at the gateway to that neighborhood’s business district.

The unanimous vote Dec. 10 kicks in money from Northside’s tax-increment financing district. Neighborhood TIF districts steer property taxes stemming from rising property values into a fund that the city can use to make public improvements throughout the district.

The restaurant was demolished in mid-November…
