A total of nine people were hurt after crews battled multiple fires over the span of 12 hours in Springfield.
As reported on News Center 7 at 6:00 and 11:00, firefighters responded to Broadway Avenue on reports of a house fire around 11 a.m.

Springfield Fire Department Chief Jacob King said the fire was in the back of the home when crews arrived on scene, but it was spreading quickly.
