Heating Equipment Repair and Replacement Program Reopens for Older Homeowners

A program temporarily closed by New York State during the federal government shutdown that helps older homeowners with repairing or replacing heating equipment has now reopened. Chautauqua County Office for Aging Services Director Dana Corwin says the state’s Office of Temporary and Disability Assistance reopened the Home Energy Assistance Program’s Heating Equipment Repair and Replacement (HERR) benefit for qualifying homeowners.
