‘You will be caught’: Family speaks after Jacksonville father killed outside Paxon Shopping Center

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A Jacksonville family is searching for answers after their loved one, Corey Denmark, was shot and killed in the parking lot of the Paxon Shopping Center on Edgewood Avenue.

The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said officers responded to the shopping center just after 8 p.m. on Dec. 10 and found two men suffering from gunshot wounds. Both were taken to the hospital, but Denmark died from his injuries. The other victim is expected to survive.
