MSU faculty member set to appear on Jeopardy Wednesday night

LANSING, MI — An Alma native and current MSU faculty member – who narrowly lost on the TV show Jeopardy last summer – will return to the quiz show Wednesday night, Dec. 17, for the 2025 Second Chance Tournament, according to a report in the Lansing State Journal.

Pete Johnston, a faculty member of Michigan State University, will be pitted against two other Second Chance opponents. The top three players during the week advance to the Tournament of Champions “wild card” round of 15 contestants. Johnston, 41, was asked to return to Jeopardy based on his performance in the game that aired July 15, when he finished runner-up with $28,201 in winnings…
